Development Background
Released in June 2021, the Vintage Light V2 quickly drew attention as a light that overturned the old perception that “vintage design = dim.” By combining a classic look with a practical 300-lumen output, it proved that vintage can also mean bright and functional. While the V2 was very well received, customers also shared some feedback:
-I wish I could remove the light body from the stainless steel frame.
-The body is too long and interferes with the cables.
-I like the design, but I wish it were a little lighter.
Taking this feedback to heart, we redesigned it with greater usability in mind. The result is the Vintage Light V3.

Product Features
1) Spotlight-inspired vintage design
KiLEY's rear light lineup, previously limited to the Eye Light and Classic Rear Light, now offers more options. The V3 is an updated version of the Vintage Light V2. It's lighter and more compact, while still retaining the nostalgic feel of a vintage light.

Its design motif is a classic spotlight, illuminating the stage with brilliance. More than just a bicycle light, the V3 captures the expressive interplay of light and metal.
2) Vintage style with over 20 hours of runtime, USB Type-C charging
KiLEY lights are known for their design, but functionality is never compromised. While the V3 outputs a modest 20 lumens, it provides more than enough visibility for urban riding and areas with streetlights. With a runtime exceeding 20 hours, it’s perfect for commuters and night riders alike.

Charging is via USB Type-C, the same as our front lights.

3) Compact, lightweight, and user-friendly
The V3 measures just 61.5 mm in length—down from the V2’s 95 mm—making it both smaller and lighter. It’s about the same size as the Eyelight LM-017.

Unlike the V2, the V3’s light body can be detached from the stainless steel frame. Simply twist the rear cap to remove the body for charging—no need to take the entire frame off the bike.

Weight: only 71 g

When charging, simply turn the front ring to expose the USB port.

The bottom of the body has an M5 screw, so you can install it in a variety of ways depending on your imagination.

Comments from the manufacturer
KiLEY CEO and designer "Louis"
We knew how popular the V2 was, but we wanted to offer KiLEY users—especially vintage bike lovers—a new, more compact, and lightweight option.
The V3’s design draws inspiration from classic stage spotlights, blending metal craftsmanship with advanced precision manufacturing.
Classic spotlights are more than just lighting tools—they are sculptors of light and shadow, storytellers of space. We adopted this concept into the V3, allowing it to not only illuminate your ride but also enhance your cycling experience aesthetically.

To achieve this level of lightweight compactness, we are required high-precision CNC metal processing. The aluminum alloy body is precisely sculpted, and the hand-polished finish creates a stunning metallic shine.
As a result, the light reflects off the metal surface beautifully, transforming it from a simple bike light into a piece of metallic art.

Product overview

*When installing, please secure the stainless steel frame first.

*Due to the characteristics of lithium-ion batteries, the battery will deteriorate faster if it is left unused for a long period of time. To prolong the battery's life, we recommend charging it once every few months, even if it is not being used.

Q&A
Q.What is the difference from V2?
A. The compact size means it can be installed in more situations. Also, the light body can be removed from the stainless steel frame, making it easier to charge.
Q.What installation methods are available?
A.It can be installed using the included bracket (SS-01), or it can be combined with the under-saddle mount SB-01 or the short bracket BR-02 , and it can be installed in a variety of places depending on your ideas.
Q. What accessories does it come with?
A. Light body, mounting bracket (SS-01), stainless steel bolt
*USB Type-C charging cable is not included
Q.Are there any color variations?
A.As of 2025, it will only be available in silver.

Q.Is it completely waterproof?
A. Unfortunately, it is not completely waterproof. It is designed to be IPX3 compliant. The USB port is completely covered by the front ring, but please make sure that it is tightly fastened when attached to prevent rainwater from getting in.
Q. Will it rust?
A. The material is aluminum alloy, so it is resistant to rust, but it does not mean that it will not rust at all. If you do not leave it outdoors in the rain, and if you lightly wipe off any moisture on the body after using it in the rain, it will last longer.

Q.Can it be installed on a road bike?
A. Yes, of course it can be installed. In addition to the included bracket, it can also be installed in other places depending on your ingenuity.
Q.Do I need to remove the light body from the bracket when charging?
A. Yes, you can easily charge the light by simply turning the rear cap, which allows you to remove the light body while leaving the stainless steel frame attached to the bracket.
Q. Does it support fast charging?
A. No. Therefore, please avoid using a USB Power Delivery (USB PD) or Thunderbolt cable to charge your vintage light. While these cables provide fast charging, the voltage is too high for the battery capacity of the vintage light, and they are likely to accelerate battery deterioration.
Q.Will the stainless steel frame loosen while riding?
A. The stainless steel bolts and rear caps are designed to not come loose if tightened firmly. Please be careful when installing or removing them.
A. When installing, you may have clamped the light body to the stainless steel frame before fastening the bolts. If this is the case, the force of the tool will cause the stainless steel frame to press down on the rear cap, making it difficult to remove. When installing, first fasten only the stainless steel frame, and then set the light body afterwards, which will allow for smooth removal.
