Development Story

The Vintage Light V2, launched in June 2021, was a game-changer at a time when "vintage design = dim light" was a common perception. It gained popularity for its classic aesthetics combined with practical brightness (300 lumens).

However, we received valuable feedback from users, including:

  • “I want to be able to remove just the light body from the stainless frame.”
  • “The body is too long, making it difficult to manage cables.”

Taking these requests into account, we redesigned the light for better usability, resulting in the all-new Vintage Light V3.

We recommend for

✔ Want a classic custom look for their bike
✔ Are looking for a unique front light
✔ Need both style and practicality
✔ USB Type-C charging is a must-have
✔ Prefer a more compact design than the V2
✔ Find small lights too discreet but don’t want an oversized unit

Key Features

① Inspired by Stage Spotlights – A Vintage Light with a Modern Twist

KiLEY has developed various front lights, including bullet lights, eye lights, and vintage lights. Now, the Vintage Light V3 continues the legacy of V2 while introducing meaningful upgrades.
By making it lighter and more compact, we enhanced usability without sacrificing the nostalgic vintage aesthetic.

Inspired by stage spotlights, the V3 is more than just a bike light—it's a piece of art, where light and metal blend to create a beautiful visual expression.

②Vintage Design with 300 Lumens & USB Type-C Charging

KiLEY prioritizes design, but that doesn’t mean compromising on functionality.

  • 300 lumens—bright enough for urban streets with streetlights
  • 10+ hours of runtime, ideal for commuting & night rides
  • USB Type-C charging, ensuring fast and convenient charging

3) Lighter and more compact body than the V2. Improved usability.

Compared to the 95mm length of V2, the V3 is only 58.5mm—nearly half the size. This compact design also means a 37% reduction in weight, making it lighter and easier to install.

Body can now be removed from the stainless frame for easy charging

Weighs only 66g, significantly reducing the burden on your ride

Front ring with cut-outs to optimize weight reduction

Brass logo ring, adding a premium vintage touch

SS-01 stays are included; for use with BROMPTON, please prepare SS-03 stays separately.

To charge, simply twist the front ring to expose the USB port.

There is an M5 screw on the bottom of the body. Installation methods are flexible depending on your imagination.

Message from the Designer

KiLEY CEO "Louis"

We knew how popular the V2 was, but we wanted to offer KiLEY users—especially vintage bike lovers—a new, more compact, and lightweight option.
The V3’s design draws inspiration from classic stage spotlights, blending metal craftsmanship with advanced precision manufacturing.
Classic spotlights are more than just lighting tools—they are sculptors of light and shadow, storytellers of space. We adopted this concept into the V3, allowing it to not only illuminate your ride but also enhance your cycling experience aesthetically.

To achieve this level of lightweight compactness, we are required high-precision CNC metal processing. The aluminum alloy body is precisely sculpted, and the hand-polished finish creates a stunning metallic shine.
As a result, the light reflects off the metal surface beautifully, transforming it from a simple bike light into a piece of metallic art.

Product Overview

*Due to the nature of lithium-ion batteries, prolonged periods of disuse may accelerate battery deterioration. To extend battery lifespan, we recommend charging the unit once every few months, even when not in use.

Q&A

Q. What are the differences between V2 and V3?
A. The V3 is more compact, allowing for more versatile mounting options. Additionally, the light body can now be removed from the stainless frame, making charging easier.

Q. How can I mount the light?
A. It can be mounted using the included SS-01 bracket. Alternatively, it can be installed under the front carrier, on the fork ends, or in other creative locations.

Q. What accessories are included?
A. The package includes:
Light body
Mounting bracket (SS-01)
Stainless steel bolt
※ USB Type-C charging cable is NOT included.
※ For Brompton users, the dedicated SS-03 bracket is required.

Q. What type of bolts are included?
A. The stainless steel bolts are carefully selected to match the light body. These bolts can be tightened using a flathead screwdriver or even a coin, making adjustments possible even outdoors without tools.

Q. Are there color variations?
A. As of March 2025, only silver is available.

Q. Is it fully waterproof?
A. No, it is not fully waterproof, but it has IPX3 water resistance. The USB charging port is fully covered by the front ring, but please ensure it is tightly sealed when riding in the rain.

Q. Will it rust?
A. The aluminum alloy body is highly resistant to rust. However, to maximize its longevity, avoid leaving it exposed to rain for extended periods and wipe off moisture after riding in wet conditions.

Q. Can I use it on a Brompton?
A. Yes, absolutely! If mounting on a Brompton, be sure to use the dedicated SS-03 bracket.

Q. Can it be installed on a road bike?
A. Yes, it can be mounted on various bike types using the included SS-01 bracket or other custom mounting solutions.

A. Yes, you can easily twist the rear cap to detach the light body from the stainless frame, allowing for hassle-free charging.

Q. Does it support fast charging?
A. No, it does not support fast charging.
Please avoid using USB Power Delivery (USB PD) or Thunderbolt cables, as they deliver higher voltage than necessary, which may shorten battery lifespan.

Q. Can it be mounted on handlebars?
A. Yes, by using compatible third-party mounts or holders, the light can be installed on handlebars.

Q. Will the stainless frame loosen while riding?
A. No, as long as the stainless bolts and rear cap are properly tightened, it is designed to remain securely in place. Please ensure it is firmly fastened after installation.

Q. Will the brass logo ring change color over time?
A. Yes, brass develops a natural patina over time, adding to its vintage aesthetic. If you prefer to maintain its original shine, you can polish it occasionally.

Q. How long does the battery last on a single charge?
A. Battery life depends on the lighting mode, but it can last for up to 10 hours or more.

Q. Can I replace the battery?
A. No, the built-in lithium-ion battery is not user-replaceable. However, we plan to launch a battery replacement service in 2025.

Q. Will the battery degrade if not used for a long time?
A. Yes, lithium-ion batteries degrade over time if left unused. We recommend charging the battery at least once every few months to maintain its lifespan.
