As it is used, the color gradually deepens and the surface becomes calmer and more refined.

The Brass Collection is finished specifically to allow this natural aging process.
It is not designed to maintain a perfectly uniform appearance.
Rather, it is a light that becomes complete through use.

While the material is brass, the structure, size, and mounting method are identical to the standard model. Key specifications such as waterproofing, brightness, and runtime remain unchanged.

This design prioritizes aesthetics without sacrificing usability.

The knurling on the body features a dedicated design crafted specifically for this collection. While the natural weight of brass makes it heavier than the standard aluminum version, it adds a sense of premium presence.

This brass model supports battery replacement, so even if the battery reaches the end of its service life in a few years, you don't have to give up the light itself. This design ensures that the brass's appearance, which changes over time, will not end halfway.

Development Background

The concept for a brass model has existed within KiLEY for years. We have always been captivated by the way brass records the passage of time.

However, the Eye Light is a rechargeable device. We hesitated to release it because if the battery’s lifespan dictated the light's lifespan, the user would never truly get to enjoy the long-term aging process.

In Spring 2025, we established our Battery Replacement Service. This was the final piece of the puzzle, providing an environment where a well-aged light could be kept in service for years to come.

Because brass is a sensitive material that oxidizes even in storage and carries significantly higher production costs than aluminum, this collection is produced in strictly limited quantities. We hope this becomes a piece you cherish for the long haul.

In today's manufacturing world where mass production has become the norm, the "weight of materials," "traces of handwork," and "value of time" have been gradually lost. This product was born from the desire to give form to these things once again.

Brass is not a material that aims to look "perfect" from the start.
As it is used, it changes and oxidizes, imprinting all of the time that has passed.
Each scratch and color change gives the piece its own unique look, and it becomes something that grows with the user.

Q&A

Q. What is the difference between this and the regular model?
A.The basic structure, size, waterproof performance, and installation method are the same as the regular model.
The difference is that it is made of brass instead of aluminum, and has a finish that changes over time. This model will also be produced in limited quantities.

Q: Isn't it heavy?
A. Because it is made of brass, it is heavier than the standard aluminum model. The weight difference is as follows:
LM-016: 30g → 47g
LM-017: 22g → 39g
LM-019: 12g → 29g

Q. Is it solid brass?
A. If the product were left untreated, oxidation would likely progress too quickly, so we apply a thin coating. This allows you to enjoy the natural aging process that is unique to brass as you use it.

Q. How does it change as you use it?
A. Depending on the environment and how it is used, the color will gradually deepen and the luster will fade. A characteristic of brass is that it will develop a unique look over time, depending on how it is used.

Q. Are uneven coloring, darkening, and individual differences on the surface considered defects?
A. No, it is not a defect. Due to the characteristics of brass, it is prone to uneven color, blackening, and individual differences.

Q. Will it rust or deteriorate if used outdoors?
A. The brass surface does oxidize, but unlike iron which rusts red, this does not lead to deterioration of the material. Although the appearance may change when used outdoors, this does not pose any practical problems. If you are concerned about uneven color or darkening of the surface, you can restore some of the luster by polishing with a commercially available metal polishing cloth or brass cleaner.

Q. Will verdigris develop?
A. Because brass is a material that contains copper, verdigris may develop on the surface depending on the usage environment and storage conditions. Even if verdigris does develop, it does not affect performance or safety, and you can continue to use it as normal. If it bothers you, you can wipe it off with a soft cloth or remove it with a commercially available metal cleaner.

Q. What should I do if I want to maintain the luster?
A. It is possible to restore some of the luster by polishing with a commercially available metal polishing cloth or brass cleaner. However, if you polish it too much, the patina of aging will be lost. It is up to the user's preference as to which state they enjoy.

Q. Is the waterproof performance the same as the regular model?
A. Yes, they are the same. Even though the material has changed to brass, there is no change in the waterproof structure or performance.

Q. What accessories are included?
A. The accessories are the same as the regular model. In addition to the light itself, it comes with mounting bolts, washers, and a USB cable (Eye Light only).

Q. How do I replace the battery?
A. This model supports battery replacement, so you can continue to use the light even after the battery has reached the end of its life or the warranty period. If you would like to have the battery replaced, please contact the store where you purchased it.

A. This model is made of brass, which means that the raw material costs are higher than those of aluminum models, and the manufacturing process is also different from that of regular models, so this is reflected in the price.
